A small free beach at Rosignano, adjacent to the Spiagge Bianche zone. The sand has the same industrial white character as the nearby famous beach. Access is simple and the area is unmanaged.

Social

Used by visitors who prefer the free beach to the managed sections. A simpler and more anonymous experience than the commercial sections nearby. The industrial origin of the sand is the same, but the social dynamic is different.

Context

Part of the same Solvay-created beach system as the Spiagge Bianche. The free beach sections exist alongside and within the managed areas, separated by the commercial and spatial organisation of the concession holders.

Environment

Sand composition altered by decades of mineral discharge from the adjacent Solvay chemical plant.
